VHIS is a government-certified medical insurance scheme. Premiums (up to HK$8,000/year per insured) are tax-deductible. VHIS Standard plans must offer guaranteed renewal; VHIS Flexi plans add extra coverage on top. Non-VHIS plans may cover more but aren't tax-deductible.
